Botox injections are a quick and minimally invasive procedure aimed at reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on the face. Retinoids are topical medications derived from Vitamin A that are used to improve the appearance of the skin by stimulating collagen production, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and improving skin texture and tone.
Procedure
These medications are typically applied to the skin once daily, usually at night, and should be used as part of a regular skincare routine. It’s important to start with a lower concentration and gradually increase the strength as tolerated to minimise the risk of irritation.
Results
Results from retinoid treatments are gradual and may take several weeks to months to become noticeable, with continued improvements seen over time with long-term use.

It’s important to use sunscreen during the day when using retinoids, as they can increase the skin’s sensitivity to sunlight.
